After eight months of negotiations, FPU Romania (FPUR) and Malta Air have reached a new collective labour agreement covering pilots and cabin crew based at Otopeni. The agreement has been approved by FPUR members and will now move forward to the registration stage with the Romanian Labour Inspection.
Wizz Air has been ordered to return money owed to its staff. The case was brought forward by FPU Romania on behalf of its members. It covers both holiday pay and forced unpaid leave that were wrongly handled by the airline.
Pilots and cabin crew from Wizz Air in Italy stopped work for four hours on Tuesday. It is the first time that the flight staff of Wizz Air in Italy have gone on strike. More strikes may be on the way if Wizz Air does not come to the negotiating table, says the Italian trade union.
