The new collective labour agreement between FPU Romania and Malta Air Ltd. (part of Ryanair Group) has been voted through by both pilot and cabin crew members in Bucharest.
The agreement brings changes across a number of areas for FPUR members, including:
- revised salary scales and long-term pay progression,
- improvements to annual leave provisions,
- clarifications and updates to rostering rules,
- better payroll transparency and administrative procedures,
- stronger employee protection.
All in all, these changes aim to provide pilots and cabin crew with clearer rules, greater certainty, and a more predictable working environment.
“The most important contribution came from the members themselves. They told us what was working, what was not, and where they believed improvements were needed. Our role was to take those priorities into negotiations and push for them as strongly and effectively as possible,” says Ana Crăciun, Cabin Crew Representative within FPUR’s negotiation team.
None of this would have been possible without the work and commitment of FPUR’s union representatives, the support of Costel Gîlcă and Bianca Mircea, our legal team, and, most importantly, the trust and involvement of the members who contributed to the result through meetings, feedback, questions and participation in the final vote.
A big thank you to all of you!
The next step is the implementation and registration of the agreement with the Romanian Labour Inspection.
